Request deletion

There are two ways to ask for your data to be deleted.

• From your account: open your Galo account settings, go to “Delete my account” and confirm. Deletion starts right away.
• By email: write to hello@trygalo.app with the subject “Delete my data”, from the email address of your account. If you can no longer use that address, write from another one and give the account address: we will ask you to confirm your identity.

You can also delete only the data received from Meta without closing your account: disconnect Facebook and Instagram in Galo (connections section), or write to us and say so.

How long it takes

We confirm receipt of a request by email within 3 business days. Data is erased within 30 days of the request, and we write to you when it is done. Connection tokens for social networks are deleted immediately, without waiting for those 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your account, credentials and sessions.
• Your brands, their profile, your logos and images.
• Your creations, their versions, your approvals and your conversations with Galo.
• Connection tokens for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and X.
• Data received from those networks: posts read, statistics, campaigns and ad results.
• Files stored for you (media, videos).
• Usage events linked to your account.

Deleting data in Galo does not delete what you already published on Facebook, Instagram or another network. Those posts stay on your accounts until you delete them yourself.

What may be kept

• Invoices and accounting records, for 10 years, as French law requires.
• Results already aggregated and anonymized for niche learning: they can no longer be linked to you and cannot be removed one by one.
• Backups, which expire on their own schedule, at the latest 90 days after the erasure.

Remove Galo’s access to Facebook and Instagram

You can cut Galo’s access at any time without going through us. Exact menu names vary slightly with the app version.

• Facebook: Settings & privacy, then Settings, then “Apps and Websites” (or “Business Integrations”). Select Galo, then “Remove”.
• Instagram: Settings and activity, then “Apps and websites”. Select Galo, then “Remove”.
• In Galo: open the connections section, choose the account, then “Disconnect”.

Once access is removed, Galo can no longer read or publish on those accounts. If you removed Galo from Facebook or Instagram without writing to us, data already received from Meta is erased within 30 days, unless you reconnect the account before then. To erase everything faster, send us the request described above.
